Establishment
The OMÜ Graduate School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Doctoral Program began accepting students in the Spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year.

Students who complete the OMÜ Graduate School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Thesis-Based Doctoral Program receive a Master's degree and the title of “Doctor of Physical Therapy.”

Admission and Registration Requirements
Graduates with a four-year Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and graduates with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation can apply to the Doctorate program. Applicants must also have English (YDS or equivalent) and ALES scores. Applications are accepted in accordance with the Ondokuz Mayıs University Graduate Education and Training Regulations.
Rules Regarding the Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, informal, non-formal)
Students transferring horizontally to the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Master's program may be exempt from certain courses within the framework of the regulations. These exemptions will be valid following the approval of the course content by the relevant program/institute board and the completion of applications within the specified time frame.
Eligibility Requirements and Rules
Students must successfully complete at least 60 ECTS credits from the compulsory and elective courses available in the department's graduate programs. In addition, they must successfully defend a thesis prepared in a related field before a jury.

Exams, Assessment, and Evaluation
The assessment and evaluation methods applied for each course are determined in accordance with the Ondokuz Mayıs University Graduate School Regulations and the principles of the relevant institutes.
