OMU Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation was established with the letter dated 24.09.2018 and numbered 72570 received from the Council of Higher Education.
Degree Awarded
Graduates who successfully complete the program receive the degree of “Bachelor's Degree” in the field of “Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation” and the title of “Physiotherapist”.

Admission and Registration Requirements
According to the results of the Undergraduate Placement Examination, students are admitted to the undergraduate program of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation with numerical score type and central placement system and YÖS (Foreign Student Exam) for foreign students. The duration of education is four years. The language of instruction is Turkish.
Rules on Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, in-formal, non-formal)
Students can be accepted from institutions whose equivalence is accepted by the Higher Education Council. Graduates of the Vocational School of Health Services who are successful in the vertical transfer exam can also be accepted to continue their education to obtain a bachelor's degree. The courses to be taken by these students are determined by the relevant department by taking into account the courses they have taken and succeeded from the vocational school they have graduated from before and adjustment is made. Recognition of prior non-formal and formal education in higher education institutions in Turkey is still in its infancy. Ondokuz Mayıs University and therefore the department is no exception. Nevertheless, exams are held every semester for English language level and in this way, previous foreign language education is recognized. Students can be exempted from these courses in the curriculum if they get a passing grade.
Qualification Requirements and Rules
As explained in Ondokuz Mayis University Education and Examination Regulations, students must be successful in all course units, including applications, with a passing grade.
Program Profile
This program is structured to introduce and teach the basic concepts, current education and training practices in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation science, to educate individuals who are respectful to human rights and have adopted the principle of lifelong learning, competent in scientific and professional fields. It is aimed for the student to analyze the condition of the healthy / sick individual and take responsibility, to act independently, researcher, educator, skilled and encouraging, to give importance to teamwork, to act in accordance with ethical values, to be open to change and innovations in professional life and to assume a leadership role, to plan scientific projects and to complete them successfully.

Transfer to Higher Degree Programs
Graduates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study in graduate programs in their own fields or related fields, provided that they get a valid grade from the ALES exam and have English language proficiency.
Exams, Assessment and Evaluation
In general, 60% of the mid-year evaluations (midterm, homework, project, etc.) and 40% of the end-of-year evaluations (final, homework, project, etc.) are calculated and evaluated.
Graduation Requirements
To successfully complete the courses taken at the end of the 4-year undergraduate program by completing a total of 240 ECTS credits and having a GPA of 2.00/4.00.
